Redemptorist Social Services Center is a nonsectarian, 501(c) 3 non-profit agency, and has provided a lifeline to the poor and elderly of metropolitan Kansas City since 1986. Our comprehensive programs of Emergency Client Assistance, Senior Services, Legal Assistance and Health Maintenance address their most basic needs by providing over 1,900 critical client assists each month with shelter, utility and medical needs, food, clothing and transportation. The staff of Redemptorist Center offers a combined total of over 50 years of experience dedicated to making a substantial difference in the lives of people in crisis. The Center is one of the top three agencies providing multiple client assists from a single site.

United Way 2-1-1 spans a 23-county area, including 7 counties in Kansas and 16 in Missouri, and has access to literally thousands of resources. I monitor and evaluate the quality of inbound and/or outbound United Way 2-1-1 calls. Document quality issues and performance measures to ensure a high level of service to those in need. I manage a staff of call specialists for the largest referral agency in the Kansas City Metropolitan area.

Assist low-income residents of Jackson, Clay, and Platte Counties, Missouri in their efforts to become self-sufficient by providing programs and services to improve the quality of their lives and the opportunity to eliminate the causes of poverty.I manage six offices in three counties ranging from 25-40 staff. Oversee an annual budget of 8 million dollars of federal monies to assist in utility payments. Responsible for the outreach, education and budget of the state’s largest Energy Assistance program. Responsible for adapting the needs of our program for citizens in the urban core of Jackson County and rural communities in Platte and Clay Counties.

In the office of the House Minority Leader I acted as a man with many hats. I was the liaison to state agencies and offices, lobbyists, labor unions, and social service providers. Monitored and analyzed legislation along with the state budget for the caucus. Principle staff for the 2012 redistricting process. I served as a legislative and political adviser for the Minority Leader and the Caucus Leadership. I also serve in political capacities with "Kansans for a Democratic House".

Coordinated fundraising and the public relationships with community leaders in north east Kansas. Maintained relationships with Legislators in Kansas and with the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services. Organized fundraising events, allocated resources to local offices for children in foster care, and connected families with the necessary assets to be able to live a normal life.

Acted as a liaison between the agency and the United States Congress and the Kansas House of Representatives. Developed and monitored legislation in conjunction with the agency and legislators. Advised and helped coordinate the Kansas Problem Gaming Alliance. Managed relationships between the agency and labor unions. Member of the Secretary's executive staff, responsible for management of external affairs including public policy and legislative strategy for the Administration's largest Cabinet agency. Served the Secretary as a political advisor and as a liaison between the agency and the stakeholders to the department.

Developed and coordinated communications for the Senate Democratic Caucus including talking points, newsletters, and online communication. Senior Democratic staff for the Ways and Means committee and appropriation sub committees. Researched and examined state policies and state budgets. Staffed and advised the Democratic Leader while meeting with lobbyists, state agencies, the governor's office, and constituents.
