I am working with Kempke to migrate their 30+ year old system into a new web based e-commerce system that I have developed specifically for their business needs. Over the next 6 months we will be migrating to the new platform which will expand their capabilities and allow Kempke to utilize a single platform to handle the needs of their business for both online and offline sales and fulfillment. This projects presents many challenges which I look forward to working through to help Kempke use the best the technology has to offer. E-Commerce application development with a specialty in automation and shipping logistics. I have modified the Interspire platform for V2Cigs more than any other client. Recently, I was on site working on the release of V2Pro, http://www.v2cigs.com/v2pro-series.Update: November 2013 - Integrated newest FedEx API into the fulfillment system, recently integrated AvaTax into Interspire Shopping Cart as well as tweaked the shipping manager to allow for adult signature required on certain products. While no longer a full time onsite employee of V2Cigs, I work from AZ remotely as a developer and consultant.

I have been hired to architect and deploy a completely new e-commerce platform for Hapari, while migrating their existing data into the new system.I will be developing the system based off the Interspire platform bringing over years of work and experience by utilizing modules and add-ons that have been perfected and implemented with a high level of success throughout various companies I've worked with in the past.I will be completely retooling their entire warehouse including their fulfillment process and inventory control system. Training new staff and current staff will be an ongoing role during the course of this project. This will be an interesting 6 months!Launch Update: We launched November 9th of 2013! As usual a few minor issues but nothing we weren't able to work through. For a migration from a decade old e-commerce platform to my extremely customized version of ISC I am just glad the old data played nice with the new system! I want to congratulate everyone involved! I have been tasked to head up a team that has been tasked to re-engineer and restructure an internal application used by every department in the company. The system was originally built over 3 years without a framework, so it has quickly outgrown itself and requires a complete rewrite from the ground up. Aside from organizing and cleaning up the code, I introduced the Kohana framework. The Kohana framework is extremely easy to utilize and helps make my secondary task, which is training the current and new programming staff on how to properly code using MVC and redesign the internal software from the database up. The end goal is to instruct the new developers on how to maintain the software and impart enough knowledge so they can continue to keep growing the software in the future.A strong focus on building a modular system is key as the first iteration of the software took 3 years to develop and is key to the daily operation of the business. Aside from the development of the new software and training and building the new IT staff I am consulting in various areas to improve daily operations and automate as many task as possible. A lot of the project also includes 3rd party integration through several of vendors, which requires not only API integration with existing platforms but also developing APIs for vendors who currently do not have an API to offer.

The Army was one of the most unforgettable and valuable experiences of my life. I went in a teenager who had spent his life devoted to education and came out a man with experiences that most dont acquire in a lifetime. I learned how to work under the most stressful and extreme circumstances along with all sorts of people and personality types. The value of the skips gained in the military is something I can begin to put a price tag on. I also got to serve my country and was fortunate enough to be stationed in Europe where I traveled and lived for several years even after leaving the military. I deployed, maintained and repaired communications equipment as support for 1st ID in Kitzingen Germany. I supervised, installed, operated, and performed unit level maintenance on multichannel line-of-site and tropospheric scatter communications systems, communications security devices, and associated equipment; operated and performed preventive maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles; installed, operated, and performed preventive maintenance checks and services on power generators.I also served as the 17th Signal Battalion Secretary for 1 year; performed a wide variety of general office and clerical duties; provided secretarial support services for administrative functions and acquired a high proficiency in organizational skills; prepared general correspondences, memorandums, reports, schedules, purchase orders and other materials from rough draft, copy, marginal notes or verbal instruction.
