About Dustin Phan
As a child, I felt like I had a mission to take care of others, especially those who seemed upset or lonely. With compassion and a good sense of humor, I drew near to those around my circle who needed a buddy. It was this yearning to comfort others in need that led me on the path of becoming a social worker. An MSW degree later, I am using that same compassion and humor as a family therapist - walking alongside caregivers and their youth who often feel like they are alone in their struggles. I enjoy using a strengths-based, empathetic, and trauma-sensitive approach when working with clients. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for my clients - an environment where they can feel welcome to be themselves. My goal is to empower each family member to realize their potential as a change agent. I equip families with communication and problem-solving skills to aid them in working through years of strained relational patterns. I do this work because I care for others, and that care is something that has always been a part of me. Whether I'm seeing clients at work, catching up with members of my church, playing video games with friends, or on a date with my wife, I make it a point to live out my mission of taking care of those who are in need.
