KROFT is a boutique designer and manufacturer of thoughtful and handcrafted store displays and fixtures including clothing racks, shelving and other wall mounted displays.

As President of Rent-a-Son, I took a startup with limited resources and built a multi-million dollar company, with a staff of 60 people that helped homeowners and businesses move locally, nationally and internationally. Recently, I sold my company and will now be transitioning the new owners over the next several months. In my 14 year term, I built a company and a culture that refused to conform to the standards, practices and conventions that are often commonplace in antiquated industries like moving. From day one, my focus was to employ modern-economy strategies and practices to the old-economy world we were operating in. We built proprietary software which managed our internal operations and integrated our own software (via API calls) to third party customer-facing SAAS applications. We recruited staff that could help us offer an experience rather than just a move and developed an in-house training program to develop their moving and customer service skills. We built a digital marketing and sales plan that streamlined our sales cycle and allowed for more effective communication between our departments and most importantly with our end users. Over the years, Rent-a-Son won several industry awards and is recognized as a leading provider of moving and storage services in the Greater Toronto Area.In June 2014, I sold Rent-a-Son and completed a transitional year to help the new owners settle into their roles.

Rent-a-Son, winner of HomeStars Best Mover in Toronto for 2010 and 2011, provides insured, bonded and professional residential and commercial moving services. Rent-a-Son is an agent of northAmerican van lines and is a certified member of the Canadian Association of Movers. We also offer storage and warehousing out of our Toronto location where we have 25,000 sq ft of temperature controlled, alarmed and video monitored space.
