Building robust digital experiences for non-profits using Drupal

At Unrealist, I take care of building our products, our web sites, and steering our work towards making a difference in the world.

I wear a lot of hats at Tandem. I am a full stack web developer creating Drupal sites and Laravel applications for a diverse set of clients in higher education, healthcare, finance, and independent media. I also help to co-maintain Lando, an open source local development solution based on Docker, and work with Fortune 500 companies and universities to integrate Lando with their DevOps and CI pipelines. Additionally, I take care of much of Tandem's technical project management duties, help to vet and hire staff, and help support our work through community slack groups and message boards.

At Pantheon, I worked with a global team of Customer Success rockstars to support the most advanced website platform in the world. Every day I answered complex technical questions about Drupal and Wordpress sites and how they interact with Pantheon's state of the art architecture. I loved sharing my knowledge with all range of developers to ultimately make them more successful. I also contributed code to many of Pantheon's open source and private code repositories in PHP, CoffeeScript, Python, and Ruby.

Singlebrook was my first job in web development. In the span of three years, I moved from apprentice, to developer, senior developer, and finally team lead. This is where I learned to be a web developer from some amazing colleagues. I drank deeply from the firehose, progressing through the ranks at a break-neck pace.While at Singlebrook, I worked with a number of higher education clients, some within the Ivy League, as well as non-profits and small businesses to build complex websites using Drupal 6 and 7 as well as Ruby on Rails.

Responsibility for service and spare parts sales of roughly $3-$4 million per year in a fast-paced capital equipment service department. Responsible for customer relations from initial contact and quote through order entry, sale, and follow up support. This position has helped me improve my performance under high-pressure critical conditions and my ability to disect and solve complex problems while still providing excellent service. I have learned a great deal about effective multi-tasking and task prioritization while continuing to steadily improve my customer relation skills.

Responsible for store operations during closing shift. Supervised up to 3 other employees and handled all customer complaints, returns, and exchanges. Also responsible for running a register and direct Point of sale interactions. Handled store closing operations including nightly accounting, cleaning, stocking, and reports. Responsibility for store keys, safe access and store security. Promoted from Guest Service Representative to Shift Leader roughly one year after being hired

I worked as a cashier for serveral years before being moved to the customer service team. Wegmans provided a wonderful environment to learn how to take care of customers the right way. I processed returns, handled complaints, sold services, and made decisions on how best to assist unhappy guests.
