I managed the back of house day-to-day operations and finances. My tasks and responsibilities included: maintaining preparedness along with cleanliness, expediting food in and out of the kitchen, creating and marketing weekly/seasonal specials, building schedules, customer relations, sustaining a lean inventory with a high turnover rate, closing out servers’ sales and Hey Joe’s end of day sales, and locking up the restaurant. The kitchen line was arranged to turn out short order food items ranging from freshly prepared salads to gourmet burgers.
