"Assume that people are inherently good." This is a paraphrasing from wisdom Laszlo Bock, Senior Vice President of People Operations at Google, Inc., shared at the inaugural Google re:Work conference in 2014. I had the pleasure of attending that amazing conference and I do not believe those words could ring any more true for the direction work is inherently heading towards.I received my BSBA with a major in Human Resources in 2009 and PHR certification in 2014 to attempt understanding the black and the white so I could comprehend and speak intelligently to where it benefits to be in the gray. I utilize this knowledge to identify unique and strategic ways to align core values or competencies of a business to talent acquisition, engagement, motivation, retention, culture, and performance.I am a self-confessed mama’s boy that values diversity in the workplace and the value a diverse workforce can bring to efficiency and innovation and a full believer in my self-diagnosis of hangry-ness. Obviously, I kid with the self-diagnosis but I am a foodie, love all things sports (especially golf and football), can be a gamer if time allows, and love continuing relationships with those I am close with and building relationships with those that are new to my life.I have dabbled in many things HR including, but not limited to; HR Business Partnerships, Employee Relations, Full Life-cycle Recruiting, Employee Engagement, Leave of Absences, Training, Performance, Process Improvements, Developing HR Metrics and Reporting, HR Administration, and have worked in many different HRIS systems.
