I was responsible for many things technical at MobileDay, including long-term vision for our mobile apps for iOS and Android, cloud infrastructure, and security, along with helping our engineering, QA, operations, creative, and IT teams be successful. I had a chance to participate extensively in company strategy and still manage to write lots of code.Among our accomplishments during my time as CTO:• Added support for international dialing in 16 countries across all platforms• Completed a seamless database transition from MySQL to MongoDB• Deployed a structured production service level agreement and support process with an internal DevOps process and production rotation• Deployed internal and external security programs• Launched a new administrative console using a new technology stack including Angular and Node• Partnered with Bosch and Jaguar Land Rover to deliver a mySPIN integrated car experience for both iOS and Android• Delivered a completely new Android mobile app UI• Delivered iOS 8 and iOS 9 launch-day support showcasing new iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch features and earning App Store features in Business, Team Communication, Collaborating, and Professional Networking• Grew multiple teams by 50%+• Built and deployed to market a custom Wi-Fi / VoIP calling platform• Invented and deployed to market MobileDay Push, a technology for connecting conference calls on any provider seamlessly to desktop and conference room phones using either the public telephone network or direct hardware control over Wi-Fi• Partnered with a design agency to deliver a fresh UX-focused iOS mobile app UI from the ground up along with migrating the entire codebase from Objective-C to Swift• Prototyped OS X desktop apps, Evernote integration, Apple TV support, video calling, and many other partnership-driven technology initiatives
