I work primarily on the Node.js backend to provide a REST API for the customer facing web app and internal administrative app. We run on AWS and I handle many of the devops tasks for managing the stack. Some of my notable accomplishments include providing much of the backend for ordering, setup of our caching infrastructure with Redis, setup our async job queue with AWS SQS, and managing the relationship with our international developer.

After a year of working on the Clinical Documentation team I was promoted to Lead Engineer. I have since been coordinating efforts between developers, working with product owners, analysts, and QA engineers in addition to functioning as a tech lead, architect, and Scrum Master.In my time as lead, I presented numerous times to the company executives, product team, and development team on the software architecture, technical vision, and capabilities. Also helped to lead the project's conversion to Git and presented a basic intro for the entire development team. I also introduced front end unit testing with Karma and did a lunch and learn as well as provide examples and documentation.I've worked to set coding standards which have now been adopted by all 17 teams on the project, established lunch and learns on both technical and healthcare related topics, established code review standards, and designed and prototyped our new React/Flux based front end architecture. I've also lead the team to build a Node.js back end that utilizes event sourcing/CQRS and will be used for all clinical documentation functionality.

I worked on the Clinical Documentation team to build the features that enabled doctors and nurses to document clinical information on a patient's chart. I did both Node.js and Angular JS development. I lead and architected the front end development of a form engine to enable hospitals to build and customize forms. Built a document management solution for the scanning and storing of patient documents. Promoted to team lead after a year on the team.

We built a mobile application along with REST API and dashboard that helped companies incentivize employees and customers from texting and driving. Personally provided architectural guidance and expertise and implemented an administrative dashboard for our customers to use. Worked with the team to plan future features and markets to sell product to.

Contracted to streamline the network management and IP address allocation. During my time I wrote numerous programs in Perl which I documented and then trained the other developers in how to use.

I worked remote on a distributed team to develop an application used by tens of thousands of people. Developed key components of the application independently using AngularJS and ColdFusion. I was responsible for implementing and testing developed components. Also interacted with customers to fix bugs as they were found.

The primary software engineer in the division. Along with rest of the team, responsible for development and maintenance of approximately 40 Javascript and ColdFusion applications. Routinely wrote complex SQL queries for various business needs and responsible for maintaining the web and database servers. I also wrote numerous Ruby scripts for managing the servers. In my time at Kroger I led the development group to begin using Object Oriented and MVC development techniques and trained the team accordingly. I also introduced version control and unit test testing to the team.
