In order to complete my required time in Korea, I accepted a four month position as a financial resource manager for a military logistics and sustainment organization near Deagu consisting of over 1,000 U.S. soldiers, 80 Korean soldiers, and 80 Korean civilians. In this position I was responsible for resource acquisition and allocations, travel and transportation accounts, government contracts and purchases, and advised senior leaders throughout the government funding process. My total management budget was $3.4 million across three primary accounts. I led and oversaw a team of seven subordinate employees and ensured they maintained accurate oversight and followed applicable regulatory guidance.
