Prior to to joining Lower, Dustin was instrumental in growing Waterstone's footprint in the Southeast from one branch with five associates funding $40 million a year to over ten branches with 100+ associates and annual production of $1 billion+ per year. In 2020, Dustin launched "The Loan Officer Podcast". The show is the top podcast for mortgage professionals and the clients they serve. The Loan Officer Podcast (TLOP) garners over 1,000,000 downloads per year. The inspiration of the show is derived from 15+ years of assisting home buyers with the purchase of their home as well as over a decade of coaching & mentoring sales professionals and entrepreneurs. The underlaying theme of the podcast is "everything you wished they taught in high school". Dustin Owen was born and raised in Central Florida. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Dustin also attended college in England where he studied economics, marketing, and popular culture. His keen interest in finance directed him out of the television advertising industry in 2004 and into the Mortgage Banking industry. Dustin is a Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) which is the mortgage industry's highest designation. He is also a graduate of the MBA's Future Leaders Program. Dustin married his high school sweetheart, Michelle, in 2002 and they are the proud parents of two awesome children.
