To understand and recognize the elements of a contract, from formation to termination, with emphasis on the construction process.B. To understand the principles of "remedy" in the contractual setting, including the options available to the party not in default.C. To gain an understanding and appreciation of the legal risks and liabilities associated with being a design professional.D. To gain an understanding of various legal issues, matters, and concepts which the design professional, contractor, and/or owner may encounter in today's construction marketplace.

I was a law clerk until November 2007, when I was sworn in to the Ohio Bar and became an associate in the litigation department until June 2008. In my role as law clerk and associate attorney, I prepared pleadings, communicated case statuses with clients and senior partners, completed legal research, and completed memoranda for internal and external use. Primarily, I worked in the areas of general civil litigation, business formation and planning, business litigation, contract disputes, contract drafting, commercial real estate, employer/employee relations and disputes, and commercial banking.
