• Assist students in the operation of manufacturing equipment in an educational environment with projects of varying caliber. • Projects include senior design, undergraduate and graduate level class projects, graduate level research projects, and facility projects.• Works with clients during concept, computer aided design (CAD), prototyping, design finalization, computer aided manufacturing (CAM), machine set-up, production (small scale), and final assembly.• Duties include conducting design and manufacturing consultations, creating fixtures and jigs for manufacturing, maintaining and ordering of tooling and shop supplies, process design, and maintaining CNC equipment.

• Ferrous manufacturing department, crankshaft line• Oversee turning, milling, drilling, tapping, grinding, balancing, and finishing operations required to turn crankshaft forgings into finished parts meeting strict quality standards.• Complete projects related to quality control, ergonomics, cycle time reduction, and general process improvement.• Tasked with reverse engineering large machine components for new model preparation.
