Reflecting on my journey, I once believed the hospitality industry defined me. For nearly two decades, I proudly identified as a restaurant manager, convinced it was my calling. This passion likely stemmed from my upbringing; my grandmother owned nightclubs and taverns, and I spent my youth working behind the scenes. As a teenager, transitioning into restaurant work felt natural—it was in my blood. But over time, I felt a void. I yearned for something more. Craving growth and fulfillment, I immersed myself in audiobooks, workshops, and seminars, hoping to spark a change in my life. Taking a leap of faith, I enrolled in an online college course. Without any prior experience in online learning or academic writing, I struggled and ultimately failed, leaving me with debt and self-doubt. It took years to rebuild my confidence, but eventually, I reached out to a local university, hoping for a fresh start. Anderson University became my bridge to transformation. Those early months were daunting, but once I found my footing, I embraced every opportunity for growth. I developed a passion for learning—attending classes, participating in Student Government Association meetings, and mentoring young students through College Mentors for Kids ignited a new sense of purpose. This passion for growth led me to embrace new roles and challenges. Today, as a Deputy Assessor, I find fulfillment in serving my community, ensuring fairness in property valuations, and providing excellent service. As a Travel Advisor, I channel my hospitality background into crafting memorable experiences for others. I am confident that I am on the right path, surrounded by the right people and opportunities for growth. Whether it's writing, reading, or tackling challenges, I embrace the process of learning and self-improvement. The journey isn’t without its struggles, but I know I am exactly where I am meant to be.CliftonStrengths:Learner | Context | Restorative | Analytical | DeliberativeEnneagram:Type 2The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®ENFP
