About Dusty Hecker

I have three decades of experience as an arbitrator, principally (but not exclusively) through the American Arbitration Association, deciding a wide range of business disputes. These have included matters involving high tech businesses, franchises, healthcare businesses, real estate transactions, financings, intellectual property, restaurants, even a large airplane for a professional sports team. I also serve as a mediator to help resolve disputes outside of court. As a mediator, I also may be hired directly or through the American Arbitration Association. Before retiring in summer 2023, I was a trial lawyer for business disputes of all kinds, including those in which contracts, business torts, statutory claims, non-competes, and real estate matters were at issue.I also serve as a member of the Board of Directors of Communities for Restorative Justice, a Legal Fellow and member of the Massachusetts Advisory Council for the New England Legal Foundation, and a member of the Massachusetts legal network of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression.
