More than a decade in mainstream Indian media. Started with ESPN-STAR Sports as an Intern and went on to cover the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, the inaugural Formula One race in India, among many other events, as a Sub-Editor. After two fruitful years at ESS, moved to Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) - India's largest private news agency. Was part of the National and International Desks. Gathered first-hand experience of the agency style of working. Covered some of the major national and international events during my stay. Next stop was CricketNext.com (one of India's premier cricket websites) and News18.com (Network 18) as a Senior Sub Editor. Went on several national and international assignments, majorly cricket and football. Highlights include India's tour of Bangladesh in 2015, the first two editions of the Indian Super League and many more. I was also responsible for overseeing the cricket-related content of Reliance Jio. Contributed in setting up the Cricketnext channel on Jio during my two-year stint with the companyLeft Network 18 in March, 2016 to join the India Today Group, where I worked in their digital sports team as a Chief Copy Editor, covering Cricket, Football and other Indian and world sports. After spending little more than a year at India Today, I decided to move on for better and bigger challenges. In May, 2017, I joined India TV as its Assistant Sports Editor, Digital. Here, I was heading the website's sports teams (English and Hindi).Additionally, I was in charge of the website's video team, where I was responsible for overseeing the daily operations and growth of the video vertical. Workedin close co-ordination with the TV newsroom and the channel's pan-India reporter network for delivering quality video packages for the website. I was also involved in planning and deriving strategies for India TV's YouTube channel, which is one of the most-followed news channels on YouTube.Following a great tenure of close to four years, I decided to switch gears and landed at Inshorts App. Worked there as the News Editor - English Content Team during my short stay.Next stop was Jagran New Media, a legacy brand with a young soul and an energetic heart. Took up the challenge of building the English language website of Dainik Jagran. Currently working as Associate Editor, Jagran New Media.Specialities: Managing content of print, digital. Integrating electronic content in digital platforms. Quality control, meeting deadlines, on-ground covering, getting exclusive content and the ability to work on shifts. A team player.
