Lead the AT&T Cybersecurity Software Architecture team. Lead and Architected all aspects (data model, security, deployment) of the effort moving the MSSP product from a single-tenant to a multi-tenant model.

After AT&T acquired AlienVault, I continue my responsibilities in the exciting new AT&T Cybersecurity Division.

Alienvault was a Cybersecurity startup focussed on integrating several cybersecurity functions into a single product. I managed a variety of teams spanning the AlienVault portfolio. In excess of 70% of the company revenue flowed either directly or indirectly through my products. I managed the USM Central team. USM Central is a SaaS product enabling our MSSP partners to manage their customers. I managed all aspects the USM Appliance, our on premise solution for small to medium business. I managed the Plugins team, the team that would write adapters for the large number of devices we integrate with. Finallly managed the OTX team, responsible for our crowd sourced threat intelligence. I am a key member of the Agile Leadership team, responsible for an ongoing agile transformation.

Noesis is a startup focused on energy analytics and online lending for energy equipment projects.Helped Noesis add the online lending and sales enablement platform to their existing energy analytics SaaS solution. Managed a mixed group of software engineers from 2 offshore vendors across 3 time zones, leading them through high quality, on-time deliveries using a distributed Agile Development Process.• Provided key Product Roadmap, Product Management and Design contributions.• Developed all technology decks used for the board of directors and Due Diligence activities.• Drove Coding Standards and Continuous Integration process throughout the organization.• Drove the adoption of a mixture of AngularJS and Typescript, designed the client architecture as well as implemented all of the basic framework classes used by the development teams.• Bootstrapped Noesis’ Data Analytics department creating several Machine Learning workflows and resulting Regression Models in Python and Knime to support Credit Underwriting.• Designed the Claims based Security Architecture used in Noesis’ Multi-tenant environment to granularly control access, configure features, products and users.• Designed the core financial analysis capabilities for managing lending products.• Developed C# .Net integrations with external systems (Paynet, D&B, Experian, DocuSign)

iControl Networks is a provider of OEM home automation and security capabilities for cable companies.Managed a team of consultants through all aspects of the integrations and deployments with iControl’s customers. Personally deployed the largest customers. (Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications, Rogers Communications, Swisscom AG, etc.).• Deployed load-balanced, clustered, WebLogic application servers backed by Oracle RAC.• Integrated products into Active Directory identity servers for administrative personnel.• Deployed Single Sign-on SAML integrations for consumer access.• Wrote the reliable, fault tolerant emergency service dispatch integrations in Java

AlterPoint is a startup in the Network Configuration Change Management (NCCM) market spaceJump-started the professional services organization. Lead the consulting team through quarter-by-quarter growth of ~200% in revenue. Participated in the sales cycle for the largest customers.• Personally handled a number of high profile engagements such as Bell Canada, Citibank, ESPN, Microsoft, Walgreen’s and Yahoo.• Developed services server/FLEX framework to enable the exposure of backend services.• Developed an asset management system for the reconciliation of network-connected assets (Chassis, Cards, Daughter Cards, Power Supplies) with their service contracts such as Cisco SmartNet.• Developed an Active Directory (Kerberos/LDAP) single sign-on capability using the Java GSSAPI for the Eclipse client and server and Applets and JSPs for the Web client.• Developed a BladeLogic Operations Manager integration unifying servers and network devices in the areas of asset management and policy/compliance trending. The original effort was stalled and I was tasked to ensure delivery of this strategically important integration.• Developed a SOAP based Web Services bridge for general use in integrations.• Developed a device lifecycle management module and a change reconciliation application module making strong use of HTML, JSPs, Java and SQL

Managed several teams as a working manager. Managed customers through critical defect resolution process, patch releases. Designed, developed and maintained many of the critical components of the core product from the SQL layer, J2EE middle-tier Web front end.• Made key Product Roadmap and Product Management contributions• Managed all of the technical interactions with our vast list of outsource partners• Drove Coding Standards, Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration process• Developed the NetworkAuthority server, a highly scalable, multi-threaded J2EE application, backed by SQL (MySQL, MSSQL, Oracle) using Spring and Hibernate.• Other Selected Projects: an extensible rules engine, a scripting API supporting JavaScript, TCL and Python using Rhino, the internal Messaging infrastructure based on JMS, schema auto-documentation using XML, ANT, XDoclet and XSLT and all license management.
