I am an educator, teaching mostly about animals and conservation. I use and employ many different hands on learning techniques to help students connect to STEM topics. These topics include and address, but are not limited to: animals, genetics, husbandry, conservation, climate change, engineering, aerodynamics, biomimicry, scientific field work, and animal behavior. In my current role as Association Director of Day Camps & Family Programs, I am the subject matter expert for camp policies, procedures, budget, and revenue for 15 day camp locations across the Greater Indy area. As an educator at the Indianapolis Zoo, I connected people with animals and the environment in an attempt to foster a love of both. This will hopefully encourage them to insist that the animals they love are important, which will then empower people to take conservation action for the earth. Prior to that position, I was a Conservation Education Instructor. During my time as a CEI, I was mostly teaching about animals and conservation. Prior to my time as a CEI, I was a Senior School Coordinator for Everybody Wins! DC . During my time at EW! DC, I helped pair a student with a reading mentor to read once a week together at the student's lunch hour. During my tenure with the Power Lunch Program, I was the coordinator at Adams Elementary School in Washington DC.
