As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with a Doctorate in Applied Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis, I have seventeen years of professional experience in educating children and adolescents with emotional and behavior difficulties and behavior analysis. I received my Doctorate degree from Columbia University. While completing my doctoral work, I worked with children aged 18 months to 19 years old.I am an Adjunct Faculty member at George Washington University in Washington DC in the Disabilities Studies Program. I am also Adjunct Faculty at the University of Chicago School of Psychology Washington DC Campus's ABA Certification Program, which will open doors to students in the Fall of 2012.I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Behavior Analysis International, the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies, and several local behavior analytic associations. I have presented numerous national workshops and seminars on various topics relating to ASD's and ABA, including Parenting Education, Data Analysis, and specific research projects.I am frequently a featured speaker at multiple local teacher training in-service workshops and I consult on a regular basis with DC Metro area private schools.I am a strong consultative source on matters of functional assessment and treatment of challenging behavioral problems, especially for individuals with autism, developmental disabilities and mental retardation. My experience is substantial in developing, implementing and monitoring home and community based ABA Treatment Programs for children with autism and related disorders. My research interests lie in professional development of professionals and para-professionals in the field, applications of behavior analytic tactics in traditional educational settings, use of multiple instructional forms to lessen instructional times and promote skills generalization, and parent/educator training.
