I am a Senior Software Implementation Consultant with Tyler Technologies Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) Solution, a product that provides access to non-adversarial resolution processes without the time and budgetary resource constrictions of traditional processes. Working in ODR has allowed me to leverage my 25 years’ experience as an ADR Services Provider and has provided the honor of working with organizations throughout North America, South America, Europe, South Pacific, and the Middle East in implementing Dispute Resolution Systems in English, French, Dutch, Portuguese, and Maori. Prior to working at Tyler Technologies I served as Director of Community Relations and Trade Practices Consultant with the Better Business Bureau, honing my skills in consumer-merchant/business-to-business disputes. Projects such as U.S. Federal Reserve Money Smart Week and FINRA Scam and Fraud Prevention fostered my voracious appetite to pursue innovative applications for ADR.I pride myself on being a grassroots-fed practitioner, initially trained by the FBI Federal Mediation and Conciliation Services at the age of 13 - an experience that resulted in receiving an FBI Peacekeeper Award, Gold Presidential Service Award, Silver Presidential Service Award, and Presidential Service Scholarship. Experiencing the positive effect conflict resolution skills can have on relationships served as a catalyst for pursuing employment with many Michigan Community Dispute Resolution Programs (CDRPs) where I rapidly advanced from a secretarial role to Program Manager. Evolving as a practitioner with the ADR industry afforded me a front row seat to aspects of a growing industry; pioneering ADR Quality Assurance, ADR Program Management software, and serving as a non-attorney liaison to amendments of Michigan Court Rule and coordinating mediation practicum courses with Detroit-area Law Schools. The opportunity to educate the next generation of attorneys as a non-attorney is an experience I reflect on fondly. Having worked across many industries in diverse roles fostered a roll-up-my-sleeves mentality, focusing on getting the job done quickly and effectively while balancing the needs and concerns of project stakeholders. I love the challenge of wearing many hats and fulfilling diverse roles both independently and part of a team.
