About Dmitriy Kozhemyakin

I'm a senior researcher in the Center of Intellectual Property and Rights at Tomsk State University and a docent (eq. Associate professor) at the regional branch of the Russian President Academy (RANEPA). Since 2011 I also have a private practice as a lawyer. The main area of my research and legal practice is a cyberlaw and legal conflicts related to the development of the Internet and IT.In my research I pay a great attention to comparative analysis the experience of U.S.A., Europe, Russian Federation and CIS countries.As a Lecturer I teach courses:- Civil Law (Includes: Corporate Law; Property Law; Law of Obligation; Contract Law);- Business Law; - Intellectual Property Law (Includes: Copyright and Related Rights; Patent Law; Trademark Law; Trade Name; Geographical indication);- Economic and Legal Regulation of Software Market (a special course for students in IT professions, includes the overview the legal issues of the development and protection software);- Information Law;- Tax Law.The main area of legal practice:- Copyright and Related Rights;- Software Development;- Domain Names;- The Protection of the Honor, Dignity and Business Reputation.
