In-House Counsel
CurrentDraft, analyze, and negotiate a wide variety of agreements such as, but not limited to, master service agreements, SaaS agreements, licensing agreements, reseller agreements, data center agreements, security policies, and statements of work (SOW) from origin to executionLead negotiations for key multi-million dollar deals with a variety of international and national clientele with a strong focus in the manufacturing, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical industry; Oversee data privacy, security and compliance for global business operations. Ensuring operations and business relationships maintain a cautious risk profile and does not put business in high risk situations by reviewing sanctions list, dataops and secops policies, and company backgrounds;Provide counsel on labor and employment related matters such as terminations, benefits, employment agreements and policy related issues, grievances and arbitrations;Support the product and engineering team in the development and implementation of legal strategies around Cognite's use of generative AI and other emerging technologies;Analyze vendor agreements, marketing materials, open source licensing agreements, and other corporate documents for key business, legal and insurance risks to safeguard corporate exposure and interestMonitor and improve controls and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable national and international laws and regulations, as well as provide risk analysis for engagement with companies in high risk countries;Oversee the global mobility and immigration processes of different Cognite entitiesProvide strategic legal advice to members in the C-Suite and and Director-levelSupport global operations for Cognite offices in the Americas, EMEA, Saudi Arabia, Japan, and India.
