My name is Daniel Lazzareschi, and I am a physician-scientist trained in anesthesiology and critical care medicine. With extensive experience in basic science and clinical research, I have worked in both academic and private practice settings, honing a thorough understanding of how the perioperative workflow dovetails with critical care medicine in the ICU. In addition to publishing dozens of peer-reviewed articles in respected medical journals – including in Science, Cancer Discovery, Cell Press, Annals of Surgery, British Journal of Anaesthesia, and the Journal of Neurology (>1700 citations per Google Scholar, h-index 19) – I have also presented my work at international symposia, including at the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS), and the United States & Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP). Throughout my career, I aspire to leverage my research backgrounds and rigorous clinical training to provide patients with the highest quality care, both in the operating room and in the intensive care unit.I am currently an attending anesthesiologist with a physician-only private practice group contracted to work in both ambulatory and tertiary-care settings. In addition to providing anesthesia for endoscopy, cardiac catheterization, and general operating room cases, I also administer complex anesthetics for patients undergoing orthopedic, colorectal, hepatobiliary, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. I regularly perform regional nerve blocks and routinely practice obstetric anesthesia in an integrated birth center. Finally, I work remotely as a critical care physician overseeing intensive care units across multiple hospitals, providing support for on-site intensivists and consultation for local hospitalists and advanced practice providers.
