About Dan Waddell
I have over 30 years of experience in technology and cybersecurity, with over 20 of those years in various management and leadership roles. In my current role, I am responsible for developing and executing federal civilian growth strategies for our fast-growing digital transformation and cybersecurity company, Agile Defense. I spent almost 3 years with XOR Security as their Chief Growth Officer and assisted with their M&A process which resulted in our acquisition by Agile Defense in May 2023. I have chaired various cybersecurity boards and councils and volunteer my time to help educate students, parents, teachers and seniors on how to be safe online. I founded and was the first President of the ISC2 chapter in Northern Virginia, which was recognized as North America Chapter of the Year. I also helped coach a local high school CyberPatriot team which included my two sons. Building diverse, high-performing cybersecurity teams and solving problems for clients is my passion! I have been a featured guest speaker on cybersecurity issues for both TV and radio shows such as “NBC News4 Midday”, “Government Matters” and “Federal News Radio”, in addition to several conferences across the United States and Canada. Throughout my consulting career, many of my clients both past and present are in federal civilian agencies and military branches, including some in the private sector as well.
