In the role as Acting Duty Revenue Manager I have had to plan rosters to ensure all new IET services were covered by a competent person to ensure the train could run as a ten car unit. This task took all of my people and line manager skills to complete the task with great results. Within the role I have developed a number of team members to move on within the company and have managed team members performance good and bad. With the support of the Area Revenue Manager I have used a number of skills to plan and manage Rail Replacement and special events in our area with great results. As part of the management team I have been working with the team looking at new ways to reduce fare evasion, help the team understand and use new technology to help reduce loss to the company.

In my role as Revenue Protection Inspector (RPI) I was able to gain an understanding of how GWR and the railway worked. My main responsibility is Customer service and then to ensure customers had there tickets and passes and to challenge fair evasion within Pace, the DfT and GWR guide lines. As a RPI I would support and supervise Ticket Examiners to ensure revenue is protected for the company.

As a Unit Manager my responsibility's included line manager to fourteen prison custody officers and the day to day management of the house block. This included ensuring all young people attend there activates in a safe manner. Attend and manage all incidents on the house block as directed by the operations manager.
