I am the program manager for EPRI’s Plant Management Essentials (Program 225). This program focuses on critical roles of people, process and technology -- how they can be improved, and where they can be best integrated to reduce cost, increase productivity, and achieve safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally responsible power generation. I have more than 35 years of operational and maintenance experience in the power industry. I have worked at nuclear plants, fossil plants, and worked in commissioning a new supercritical coal site in 2007. Before joining EPRI in 2015, I served as an I&C technician, control room operator, operations trainer, simulator instructor, operations training supervisor, operations manager, maintenance manager, and plant manager. I have held a senior reactor operators license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and I am a certified Professional Procedures Association instructor. I am a former Navy Nuclear Engineering Watch Supervisor on submarines and also as an instructor in Idaho.
