The NMISA, a non-profit entity responsible for the administration of the northern Maine transmission system and electric power markets in Aroostook and Washington counties. The NMISA is responsible for providing an independent, objective and non-discriminatory administration of all transmission access, transmission information access, and related functions, and will monitor and operate the markets in Northern Maine for energy, ancillary, and other services. The NMISA administers the transmission systems of the investor-owned and cooperatively-owned utilities in Northern Maine, and its members also include all municipally-owned utilities, generators, suppliers of energy, and large retail customers operating in the service area.

Responsible for providing energy market consulting services to generators, commercial and industrial consumers, and municipal and investor owned utilities operating in the state of Maine.

Responsible for the development of retail and wholesale electric business unit in New England. Managed deregulated energy supply strategies in Maine and New Brunswick including contract negotiations, generation management, fuel supply management, operations management (scheduling, settlement, reconciliation), and regulatory. Developed marketing strategies specific to generating assets that were not under a long term power purchase agreement, working closely with all divisions within the organization to ensure strategic financial and operational targets were achieved.

Responsible for the development of retail and wholesale electric business unit in New England. Managed deregulated energy supply strategies in Maine and New Brunswick including contract negotiations, generation management, fuel supply management, operations management (scheduling, settlement, reconciliation), new market development/expansion, and regulatory.

Worked in several departments including System Energy Operations, Power Supply, Engineering, and Technical Services. As Manager, was responsible for implementation of the expectations related to the energy budget including transactions for company owned generation assets, independent power producers, and wholesale power transactions with other utilities. In addition, was responsible for company supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems controlling the generation and transmission network; and for the 24-hour operations desk that managed all aspects related to generation and load scheduling, energy transactions, settlements, and transmission and distribution network operation including scheduling, switching, and safety procedures on an hourly, daily and monthly basis.
