CurrentDwayne E. Gaines received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration degree with a concentration in insurance from Howard University in 1982. He later obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1992. His extensive background in insurance contributes significantly to the firm’s effectiveness with respect to handling personal injury cases. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Gaines spent eight (8) years working in various positions within the insurance industry. A majority of his insurance-related work experience is in the area of claims. He was employed by St. Paul Insurance Company and CNA Insurance Company as a senior claims representative. His responsibilities included the investigation and settlement of automobile/bodily injury, medical malpractice and products liability claims. He has also worked as a personal lines underwriter for Hartford Insurance Group. Mr. Gaines is a member of the following organizations: Maryland State Bar Association; Maryland Trial Lawyers Association; Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland; American Inns of Court; National Bar Association; and J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association. Mr. Gaines is admitted to practice law in Maryland, Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and the Supreme Court of the United States of America.
