Human Resources Coordinator
• Contribute to and execute HR strategies and plans tied to organizational strategic priorities:external and internal;• Oversight and direct support of HRIS systems;• Review and update HR policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet annualreview commitment;• Support the development and execution of HR communications activities of HR programsand initiatives (i.e., presentations, how-to-guides, staff announcements);• Provide HR support and expertise on a range of matters including general inquiries on HRpolicies and practices and referencing provincial and/or State legislation;• Ensure electronic, and hardcopy employee files are maintained and up to date;• Contribute to the development of policies and best practices for HR programs and services,conducting research, gathering information and expertise from relevant sources andproviding comprehensive reports and recommendations;• Assist in recruitment, including job postings, screening and sorting new applications,reference checking, drafting employment agreements, and coordinating interviews and assessments;• Assists in the processing of payroll and benefits information, including status changes,liaising with payroll to ensure payroll information is up to date and accurate, submittingtimesheets for any part-time/student staff;• monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary;• Performs benefits administration for both Canada and the U.S., including claims resolution,change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits informationto employees;• Responsible for leading employee on-boarding and employee orientations. • Handles employee relations, counseling, and exit interviews;• Completing various Employee letters as needed. This will include: Employment verificationletters, offer letters, salary adjustment letters, bonus payout letters, termination letters,resignation acceptance letters, employment reference letters, etc.
