I implemented a new system using open-source technologies and an MPLS network, saving the company over $100,000 in cost. When another company decided to rewrite its software instead of purchasing new equipment, I could leverage existing equipment and utilize virtualization software, saving the company $50,000. Lastly, I instituted a disaster recovery plan between two data centers using VMWare.
