Provide expertise for maintenance and continuous improvement of existing mill quality assurance systems. Maintain connectivity between process control techniques and quality data. Initiate and implement improved systems for quality analysis and management. Deliver guidance to operating teams on process operations, process control, optimization, quality performance, and improvements.• Led mill in ISO 9001 effort, complying with regulations as defined by mill policies, procedures, employee training, and site subject matter experts. This work lead to improved customer satisfaction and lowered the number of nonconforming product. • Trained and certified lab technicians across four internal departments to ensure that the product test results met the customer requirements, having everyone certified reduced the quality complaints by 45%.• Developed scorecard system to document and track vendors quality performance, this scorecard report lead to better supplier partnership meetings and helped to increase productivity. • Maintained and provided continuous improvement for existing quality standards, data, specifications and procedures for all finished products specifications.• Reduced the cost for core materials by $600,000 a year by changing vendors and established better quality requirements standards from our vendor.• Developed and delivered ISO audit training, reducing organizational findings from 10 significant non-conformance's to one or fewer minor findings.• Developed and institutionalized numerous ISO compliant organizational web-based pages in SharePoint, created a quality manual and QMS policies across organization. These improvements increased technician memory retention tremendously. • Led mill to two awards for Quality Mill-of- the-year by reaching quality milestones set forth by the corporation, these milestones included lowest number of complaints, highest percentage of test results at target with the lowest variation.
