I'm a digital media + comms and clean AI enthusiast. I previously commissioned, edited, reported and wrote IT news, features, and analysis articles for web and print at the CIO East Africa (now CIO Africa / dx5) till December 2016. I volunteered at Energy Storage MEA doing a lot of digital communications stuff. Today, I proudly do Digital Production at SciDev.Net, a publication of CABI.org where I handle too much digital publishing on a multi-lingual level.I am a member of the National Union of Journalists (UK), ardent follower of The African Editors Forum and former president of Uganda Journalists Safety Committee. Previously, I was editor at Dubai-based B2B publication - Channel Post Middle East & Africa. Before 2013 I worked as Communications Officer at two International organizations - Open Society Initiative for Eastern Africa (OSIEA) and the Nile Basin Discourse (NBD) respectively, roamin around and covering more than 10 countries. Prior to that, I was Internet/Website Editor at Uganda's leading Daily - The New Vision.As you notice, I work in a multi-cultural environment where I am dealing with numerous team members including from all over the Global South. And because of my current position, I am extremely lucky to be working on projects involving multiple international organizations.I studied IT at the Islamic University in Uganda.
