I run the innovation team for Capital One: leadership and >$10m budget ownership of a team of ~50 engineers, product managers, designers, researchers, data scientists, and analysts responsible for helping build future products and pioneering new ways the company can work. This includes rapid prototyping, user research, intellectual property development, and shipping new production services.To guide The Lab's efforts & impact, I introduced a novel Idea Value rubric to showcase our team's ability to deliver proven ROI. I crafted the team's vision, values, rubric we use for evaluating projects, and OKRs. I ran point on helping the company understand the opportunities behind generative AI, collating use cases, delivered talks to thousands of associates on the opportunities and risks. Our team graduated the company's first generative AI product. I built multi-thousand strong associate communities across the company, including around generative AI and FB/GOOG alumni. I helped formulate the company's technical rubrics for hiring product managers. I led the company's formal embrace of engagement with Internet standards organizations and presented novel standards to IETF and W3C. I filed ten patents and sponsored the creation of business resource groups for both refugees and military spouses.

As the elected RCSD Trustee Area 2, I oversee a budget of over $130m alongside the other trustees and superintendent to provide a stellar educational environment for the 6,500 K-8 students in our district in 12 schools and oversee the superintendent's administration of 900+ staff members, including 400+ teachers.I was responsible for introducing metacognition to the district with student directed learning plans. I also drove the district to adopt a program to provide dental sealants for students to reduce tooth decay.

Completed clinical trials with UCSF to demonstrate efficacy for cancer patients (mENCORE study). Raised $2.5m in VC, hired and managed team of employees and contractors to build and support the app and our users. Accepted into YCombinator Summer 2019 program. Won People's Choice award at HealthFront 2019 with Martha Stewart.

I created and led the product management organization for Google's Datacenter Software (DCSW) group of over 120 engineers, which manages the turnup, monitoring, maintenance, and decommissioning of one of the world's largest computing fleets comprising over $XXbn in active assets and tools used by thousands of Googlers and suppliers every day. I built a product team and culture from scratch in an org that had never had product management previously.I also helped create Google's level-based rubrics used for hiring PMs, served on PM Hiring Committee and helped found the Cloud PM Hiring Committee, have 1:1 mentored 70+ current and prospective PMs, created "The Path to PM" course taken by over 1800 Googlers, and taught "Angel Investing 101" to over 500 Googlers. Filed 22 invention disclosures, leading to one patent and seven defensive IP publications.As "General of the Google Drone Air Force" I created commercial drone trainings for over 100 Googlers to get their Part 107 certifications and set up a "Dronestop" for Googlers to gain and maintain proficiency in drone flight and have access to test, rental, and repair.I started the Google Crisis Access Response Team (GoCART) - now Google.org Crisis Connectivity - to rebuild communications networks after a wide-scale emergency, built a team of over 150 volunteers across Alphabet to participate and oversaw deployments to several countries. Represented Google's crisis response efforts to the U.S. Congressional Subcommittee on Emergency Preparedness.

Created, staffed, and ran a new research and development lab for Google to explore new ways to get people online in both developed and emerging markets. Explored use of StreetView imagery to find all of the utility poles in the world, advanced ground-penetrating radar, robots, and equipment from lateral industries to construct connectivity as well as a further range of IP-pending techniques. Indirect staff of ~1000 to implement. Tools built likely saved Google Fiber >$100mn. Worked closely with teams across Alphabet from Loon to X to Wing. Met with ISPs in several countries to demonstrate prototype technologies and drive new lines of business for Google.I was promoted for driving impact across Fiber with this team.

Joined Facebook as part of their acquisiton of my second startup (Oha.na). Led developer advocacy efforts in Asia, drove telco infrastructure development for the Core Growth team, then helped launch internet.org as pillar lead for Affordability & Access - created the first maps to show how the world connects (and where the disconnected are) and built Facebook's Connectivity efforts as the founding product manager. Led product for the internal tools team, revamping the core tools used by employees resulting in huge performance, usability, and satisfaction wins among the employee base. Built a multi-year vision for the team; came up with idea for and drove the creation of the Mobile Home portal for all employee resources.

Founded a micro-incubator to build and bring to market a number of product concepts, including the world's first iWork-to-PDF SaaS API (ConvertAllTheThings), a group mapping coordination tool (Lets Rally), a visual newsletter composition tool for parents (Oha.na), and an iOS video sharing application for families (Ohana Video Sharing on the App Store). Raised seed financing and built a team of four to explore these opportunities. Won admission to AOL First Floor Labs & Business Insider's "25 Startups to Watch" awards. In March 2013 we joined the Facebook team.

Founded Silicon Valley's first seed program for Mexican-based Internet startups, assembled the team, and raised financing. For our first batch (July 2011) we had 75 companies apply and selected 8 for investment and participation in the program, including a week-long tour of Silicon Valley culture, companies, and mentors.In 2018 we announced we had returned over 11x cash-on-cash returns to our LPs, making us the most successful Mexican tech fund in history.

Worked on the Metaverse before it was cool. Principal architect and implementer of world's first streaming MP3 music experience in a 3D virtual world. Redesigned forums and made them 47 times faster. Created cluster management and software distribution tools. Created tools for monitoring web applications performance. Drove internationalization efforts internally. Pioneered wiki usage internally, now used for documentation across the company. Extensive core infrastructure design and coding to improve cluster efficiency, administration, responsiveness, and monitoring.

Ported product to OS/X singlehandedly as an independent side project, currently worth millions in added contracts for Legato. Started a weekly brainstorming session on technological hurdles the company must face and on how to face them. Created automated documentation engine, assisted innumerable people in code development, contributed ideas and inspiration to many groups. Flew to several other development sites to help coordinate and unify development efforts. Youngest member to ever sit on the Engineering Council or join the architecture group.

Assisted in the analysis and selection of a 3D laser rangefinding solution for scanning Michaelangelo's David in sub-millimeter resolution. Took existing 3D mesh alignment software and made it over ten times faster while using a quarter of the memory: this optimization enabled the team to use the software on an SGI O2 that they could take with them to Italy, as opposed to only running on the supercomputer at the lab.

Architected and implemented in Java a cross-platform framework and GUI for the evaluation, testing, and use of patttern recognition engines to replace a seven year-old project written in Motif written by several other engineers. Documented my work and presented it in front of the lab at the end of the summer.

Greatly improved upon antimatter particle simulation engine to simulate the recombination of antiprotons with positrons to form cold Anti-Hydrogen, enhancing its readability and speed. Independently conceived, designed, and created a DOS program to render at high-speed the 3D particle interactions, enabling the viewer to use a "3D VCR" to watch the interactions, including pause, rewind, zoom, and spin. Extensively documented the programs and their results.

Created GenRad's first website, internally championing the concept of having a corporate image on the web. Updated and maintained the network MAC database, using a sniffer to ensure the integrity of the network. Assisted with the design of a secure Internet network architecture for GenRad.
