About Dennis Howland, Ii, Pe

A Civil Engineer with more than 25 years of professional experience. My career began as a design engineer and has progressively evolved gaining valuable experience in project management, program management, construction management, and dispute resolution.I am a talented engineer and a natural leader who has proudly responded to natural disasters and provided support to US troops in multiple war zones and conflict areas which have allowed me to work in New Orleans, LA for 10 months after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita (2005-06), Baghdad, Iraq (2008-09), Kabul, Afghanistan (2009-2013), Juba, South Sudan (2012). I am also proud to have been a senior member of the program management team for the World Trade Center Reconstruction project in NYC (2014-2015).I currently serve as the Program Manager for the $1Billion South Capitol Street Corridor Program which includes the construction of the new Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge in Washington, DC. This iconic signature bridge will open in September 2021 and will serve as a "Gateway to the Nation's Monumental Core."
