Brave Bison is an AIM-listed social video company. Across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Snap, we generate 2.2bn monthly views and have 138m followers.We produce, monetise and distribute content for our universe of media brands (The Hook, Cooking Wild, Bluntly, Mutha, Canvas and VTRND), as well as for partners such as Vodafone, Apple Music, LEGO, Boohoo and Uniqlo.We are also one of YouTube's largest channel partners, where we offer channel management, rights management, audience development and targeted video ad inventory opportunities to over 700 channels.

In my previous role as a Director, Editor, and Production Manager, my responsibilities for video, film, and music video production included directing and editing projects, organizing and scheduling the project and shoot, creating music video treatments/storyboarding, and liaising with artists and companies. Various clients would send over musical tracks and different project ideas. New project ideas were reviewed and written up into a formulated plan of action with a screenplay, storyboard, production cost, and timeframe. Tight schedules had to be met, so the regular creation of in-depth timesheets for productions and shoots was always needed.The Dman and Capes Studios team handled all tasks down to camera operation, sound engineering, creative lighting, gimbal operation, crane operation, and drone operation.Various different types of cameras and equipment were used on set. Film cameras I operated included RED Epic, Dragon, and Weapon. Knowledge of frame rates, file types, and Cine lenses was also needed. PL mount lenses, EF mount lenses, and F mount lenses were regularly used. These cameras included Canon C300, 5D Mark III, Panasonic Lumix GH4 4K, Nikon D600, Nikon D610, and more.Editing was done on software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro. VFX, Green Screen keying, and color grading with tools such as DaVinci Resolve, AAE, APP, and RED Cine X were regularly used for post-production and file conversion.Design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator were regularly used for ident creation. My knowledge and usage of Video Codecs included H264, MPEG-2, MP4, MOV, AVI, DV, Apple ProRes 422.

In my role as an online content editor at Channel AKA, I was entrusted with the responsibilities of filming, scripting, and editing both broadcast-ready and online video content. I actively engaged in producing fresh digital online content, which included conducting interviews and overseeing the filming process. Additionally, I played a pivotal role in sourcing images and artwork while commissioning new online content to enhance the platform's appeal.Liaising with clients and internal departments was a crucial aspect of my duties, ensuring effective communication and alignment of content with organizational goals. Once the content was live, I diligently maintained the site, ensuring accuracy and relevance in the information presented. My role extended to strategic planning, where I determined the required style of copy and established frequencies for necessary updates. This involved creating schedules, negotiating deadlines, and producing new content that resonated with both consumers and fans, presented in an interesting and appealing manner.Moreover, I actively identified suitable subjects for interviews and collaborated in sourcing images and artwork, even commissioning photographers for AKA projects. My commitment to content excellence was evident in my involvement in liaising with clients or internal departments to verify content, style, and presentation aspects.Incorporating written copy onto the website from various contributors and departments was a part of my regular tasks, requiring effective coordination and adherence to established standards. I continued to maintain the live site, ensuring that the information remained accurate and up-to-date. In this dynamic role, I played a key part in the development of editorial policies, ensuring compliance with copyright, data protection regulations, and implementing best practices to enhance the overall content quality.
