Detroit Public Schools Community District Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is comprised of 12 Schools, 47 Army Instructors, and 2500 Cadets. The Senior Army Instructor of the JROTC upholds the mission, vision, and values of the Detroit Public Schools Community District. Collaborates with families and other staff members to ensure students' academic success. Evaluates and monitor students' progress periodically. Instructs Cadets in the JROTC curriculum during the school year. Conduct training at JROTC and summer camps. Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and the personal growth of students. Evaluates student progress and counsel cadets on their performance within the JROTC program. Motivates and encourages students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a foundation for becoming responsible citizens.Monitors student movement to ensure a safe and orderly environment. Organize, supervise, and participates in extracurricular activities for JROTC cadets, including color guard, drill teams, and other special activities. Maintains JROTC student records as required by the Department of Army regulations and local policies. Complies with Army and school district safety guidelines when instructing and supervising. Maintains supply accountability in strict compliance with Army security regulations. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media. Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities. Attends staff development programs, department meetings, and other professional activities. Sets an example and models cadets' positive attitudes, knowledge, and skills. Maintains a working knowledge of new instructional methods, technology, and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Managed equipment readiness maintenance facilities with a crew of 100 personnel and explained findings at weekly briefings to Strategic Level Planners, which were used to determine strategies for military operations for an organization of more than 20,000 personnel. Managed operational vehicle fleet records of over 170,000 pieces of equipment worth over 1 Billion Dollars.Managed a Support Operations Branch of a logistics program and was responsible for leading, organizing, budgeting, and managing staff. Supervised program execution, selected and trained staff, developed weekly crews schedules, provided updates on project status to the Commanding General, and ensured program elements followed regulatory guidance. Utilized analytical thinking, leadership skills, time management, excellent communication, and organizational skills to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), which led to receiving a 99% rating during annual inspections for the Fiscal Year 2019. Gathered relevant information from legal data doctrine and laws to ensure supported organizations complied with Army policy and local guidelines of operational concerns such as security operations, contracting, legal assistance, maintenance, transportation, and distribution. Managed equipment readiness and crossed-referenced data for symmetry and accuracy in various information technology (IT) systems such as Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army), Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-E), Unit Level Logistics System-Ground (ULLS-G) and Directorate of Logistics (DOL). Analyzed and evaluated 12 mid-level management employees' performance and potential by composing annual written evaluation reports. These evaluations developed recommendations for promotion from the Army Human Resource Command (HRC), which led to five promotion selections in the Fiscal Year 2019.
