Contract Petroleum Land & DOA Consultant:Responsibilities includes Manage, assist and perform duties relative to the input of all land record information into land system as to set-up and maintenance of all oil and gas leases and other land contracts.Analyze title to create divisions of interest and manage curative requirements for Division Order Title Opinions, including DO maintenance and transfers. Supervise, assist, and review work of Lease/DO Analysts.Monitor contract/lease obligations; analyze/interpret contracts to insure proper/timely obligation payments.Provide responses to inquiries from and work closely with Land, Geology, Operations, and Accounting Departments.

Serve as a key focal point for petroleum contract administration for the geographic area ensuring QEP's rights are protected, obligations are met, and information in Land Administration systems/records is accurate and appropriately communicated within the organization (as applicable).Provide research, analysis, interpretation, set up/update, support, maintenance, and payment terms and obligations throughout the full EP lifecycle.Provide support to cases where litigation is involved in area.Independently analyze and interpret applicable petroleum contracts to calculate accurately and provide timely set-ups, payments, and obligations.Recognize and develop solutions for non-routine issues such as: Set-ups, payouts, and non-operated ventures (NOV)Independently maintain records to ensure payments made to private, corporate, and government owners are in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and petroleum contracts.Manage more complex and unusual payments (desk level) including: charge component deletion, tax exempt status, and escrow (reconcile dollars to wells).Independently support a number of petroleum contract opportunities across the full EP lifecycle with key expertise in the area of petroleum contract royalty payment management.Provide sound business advice to stakeholders for geographical area of responsibility Texas and Oklahoma Counties (desk level).Stay abreast of Land Administration developments in the region and the industry by participating in and contributing to industry related events/functions.Generate standard and ad-hoc reports requested by technical teams.

Perform all levels of analytical duties for the department.Ensure receipt and maintain ownership records and related title documents for persons legally entitled to the proceeds of oil and gas production.Review title opinions, probate proceedings, conveyances, contracts and other legal documents used to determine the legal title and ownership interests.Calculate various interests, including Proportionate Production interests, Net Revenue Interests, and Royalty Interests and assure for accurate entry into company database.Prepare Division Orders and payment decks in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.Preparation of Distribution Agreements and verify execution of such by the client.Stay up to date and ensure compliance with various legislature and commission rulings as they pertain to oil and natural gas marketing and revenue distribution.Identify and coordinate resolution of issues with other divisions and departments and perform other job related duties.Provided land management support and training to a four person division order department.Manage and maintain the revenue distribution for eight out of the top twenty sellers in Unimark’s market.Consistently working towards streamlining department SOP’s for accurate and efficient management of workloads.

Perform due diligence to document ownership and uncovering and recommending solutions to issues.Review title exams and lead the curative actions necessary to provide clear title. Coordinate the maintenance of all land files.Maintain technical familiarity with regulatory compliance matters.
