I’m the architect of our data science platform team, enabling our data scientists, analysts, and meteorologists to develop their insights and bring them to market. Enterprise Data Lake: Regional Health InsuranceWorked to build Lambda, SQS, and S3 based data pipelines capable of ingesting any enterprise data source into the data lake. Pipelines can apply API enrichments to record-level data (AVRO) at a throughput of millions of records/min. Built framework so that all data operations within pipelines were self-audited at the record level. Built asynchronous pipeline monitoring system to trigger Glue jobs on SQS pipeline completion.Built an event-driven file-registration system (S3/ Lambda) that onboarded source files within to the data lake, executed audit-related business logic, and triggered downstream ETL processes (Talend, Glue).Built Lambda functions (Lambda, CloudWatch, Glue) to support Glue operations within the lake.Practiced test-driven development (TDD) and led organizational efforts to improve TDD adoption within CICD pipelines.Facilitated “skill-up” sessions to evangelize a modern engineering approach to data products to a traditional data organization, leading discussions on Java, software-engineering practices, Avro, Terraform, Lake architecture, and AWS services like Lambda, SQS, and S3.
