As a boy, there was an old motorcycle in the farm shed not running, tired, rusty and neglected. My father challenged me, “Do you want to fix it?”, “Of course Dad, do you think we can given we can’t afford a new one?”After hard work in a small time frame, I learned the reward for effective, detailed and talented maintenance in a cash constrained environment – I was in business with a running motorcycle - every boys dream! These produce copper, gold, uranium, silver, sulphuric acid, zinc and lead. I've prevented weeks of lost production and strive to cut costs in maintenance with the ultimate aim of reducing equipment life cycle costs and increasing profit margins.
