Managed diverse staff of 6 military (comprised of all DoD branches), 8 Dept of Navy civilians, 2 contractors in all-source intelligence shop providing support to law enforcement (DEA, FBI, ICE, CBP, CGIS) in PACOM area of responsibility and beyond. Focused on combatting Transnational Organized Crime, specifically cocaine trafficking and methamphetamine precursors.

Responsible for the development of operational doctrine, planning & oversight for deployment of 27 Deployable Specialized Forces (DSF) (approx 3,300 personnel) in support of DHS, CG operational & DoD combatant commanders. Joint USCG/US Customs air interdiction unit with mission to intercept drug smuggling aircraft conducting airdrops and deliveries. I received and analyzed incoming tactical intelligence products and passed them to watch floor to launch U.S. Customs and USCG aircraft for interception. Unit was decommissioned in the 1994 Clinton Administration Drug Budget, and mission relocated to what is now the CBP Air Marine Operations Center at March AFB in Riverside, CA. Received U.S. Customs Commissioner's Unit Citation for my service here.
