As a Supervisory Special Agent, I served in eight overseas tours and multiple temporary tours of duty at Embassies and diplomatic facilities around the world in my 21 year career. As a Regional Security Officer, I was in charge of the security of all personnel, property, and information of the U.S. government at diplomatic facilities. In this role, I served as the primary security and law enforcement advisor to the Ambassador of the United States in that respective country. I collaborated closely with other interagency partners with in the U.S. government, to include law enforcement and intelligence agencies, host nation government officials, corporate security, and local business leaders in these positions. I was proud to lead embassy security teams to improve physical and procedural security as well as organizational threat and risk management programs.Domestically, I conducted criminal investigations, personal protection operations, and program management of security programs. I have served as a Contracting Officer’s Representative on several multi-million dollar security contracts, some valued over $200 million annually and ensured contract compliance during my management of these programs. As Deputy Director at the Diplomatic Security Service International Command Center, I led a team of DSS Special Agent, Civil Service, and contractor personnel providing intelligence, investigation, and protection support for DSS operations worldwide. I developed and implemented standard operating procedures for the daily watch operations, to include the collection, analysis, and dissemination of accurate and timely global threat intelligence based on the impact, credibility, and likelihood of an incident to all U.S. Diplomatic Mission around the globe. I developed briefings and reports with a focus on relevant, actionable intelligence to senior U.S. government leaders, leveraging this data to prepare mitigation recommendations for leadership on current and emerging risks.
