Program Manager – Bethlehem Center | 2008– Managed the senior lunch program, a five-day hot lunch delivery program for 80-100 individuals. – Coordinated the efforts of 12 local churches (one per month) to prepare meals each day. Administered the program, procured food and supplies, recruited volunteers, and prepared and delivered the meals. – Raised funds through grants and donations. Managed an $80K annual budget (salaries, gas, food, supplies). Much of the food and supplies where donated. Each meal cost less than $2.45 per person. Purchasing Liaison – Mid Cumberland Community Agency | 2005 – 2007– Managed the procurement of supplies and resources to provide shelter, clothing, and food for Hurricane Katrina victims (totaling $5M budget) through FEMA. – Ensured the purchasing of supplies, materials, services, and equipment complied with federal regulations. – Developed, audited, and evaluated purchasing processes for five government-funded programs. – Negotiated and secured business contracts with independent contractors for materials and supplies. – Assisted in developing a tool to report expenditures for the FEMA program. – Reviewed purchasing reports to ensure records are within budget guidelines. – Prepared journal entries and reconciled for month end close. Community Organizer – Neighbors of Edgehill | 2004– Collaborated with community leaders to address the needs of the Edgehill community (edgehillcommunity.org), a section of Nashville with 5000+ residents in a 1.3 square mile area. – Addressed the needs of public housing residents, private housing residents, churches, schools, businesses, and other people interested in the community who share a common interest in Edgehill.
