During my internship, I learned about the propulsion components of warships, the pre-alignment of propulsion systems and also the philosophical knowledge of warship design. In addition to learning, I also assisted in the work of pre-alignment of propulsion systems, loading mechanical equipments and marking equipment positition as per drawing.The output of my internship was that I proposed to change the pre-alignment method from wire to laser. On the basis that when using wire, the pre-alignment is often broken due to welding sparks. The effect is that the processing time becomes long and ineffective. The use of lasers can be an alternative because the nature of laser light is straight, transparent and can minimize the possibility of tilting.
