How does a Chemical Engineer become an IT Portfolio Manager at a tech giant? After spending 7 years working in environment control and a fertilizer manufacturing unit, I embarked on a journey of self-study in computer science, the internet, and cybersecurity. It was during this time that I discovered my passion for Information Technology. To delve deeper into this field, I pursued studies in SAP, focusing on the Production Planning module, leveraging my experience in Urea Production.I was fortunate to immediately engage in diverse projects, including setting up an internet gateway and establishing 5 Points of Presence across a province in India, building Data Centres, implementing Public Key Infrastructure, Satellite communications, mobile vans, Tele-medicine, and developing Online Procurement systems.Over the course of 9 years, I gained invaluable experience before transitioning to roles at IBM India and Cognizant Technologies Solutions Canada. Eventually, I progressed to the position of Portfolio Manager (East Canada sector) at IBM Canada and Kyndryl Canada.Currently, at Cloud SynApps, I serve as a senior Project Manager and Associate Director of PMO, contributing to IT projects spanning Federal, Provincial, and Regional/City projects in Canada and the USA.◊ THINGS I DO WELL ◊● See big-picture and deep dive in details● Collaborative leadership so everyone grows together● Collaborate across multi-country with cross functional team● Match IT priorities to budget and tightly control project finance● Thrive on the chaos of achieving results for multiple simultaneous demands● Team Building and motivation◊ SIGNATURE STRENGTHS ◊BUSINESS – Complex project management, Digital Transformation, IT Strategy, Requirement Analysis, Solution Delivery, Risk Management, Change Management, Vendor Management TECHNOLOGY – Application Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile Methodologies, Scrum Framework, Microsoft Project Plan, Cloud Technology: Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, Salesforce Service Cloud, SharePoint, Slack
