Dwitya is a dedicated researcher at the Research Center for Transportation Technology within the National Agency for Research and Innovation (BRIN), specialising in maritime safety, risk analysis, Bayesian Networks, and ship decarbonisation. He has been working as a for three years and has already published several publications in high-reputable journals, mainly developing risk analysis methods for accidents and integrating them with novel quantitative methods such as the Bayesian network.Before being employed as a researcher, Dwitya has worked as a safety officer and technical superintendent for the Baruna Jaya IV Research Vessel for three years. Dwitya had plentiful at-sea experiences as a safety officer during the voyage to ensure safety compliance with regulations and standards. Moreover, while working as a safety officer, Dwitya also had a responsibility as a technical superintendent to ensure the ship’s performance, which shows that Dwitya has excellent project management and leadership skills.In addition to his extensive research and professional experience, Dwitya has a formidable academic foundation in Naval Architecture, having obtained his master’s degree from the University of Southampton in 2017. This academic achievement underscores his deep theoretical understanding, which serves as a cornerstone for his research endeavours.
