My professional core value set was summed up by Eldridge Cleaver: "If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem."My core personal values - Honesty, Integrity, Leadership, Reverence, Fidelity, Teamwork, and Courtesy - developed as in my formative years as a member of the Order of DeMolay, where I earned recognition as a Chevalier and Boy Scouts of America, where I earned recognition as an Eagle Scout.They remain true today and support my professional values: Accountability, Collaboration, Focus on Customer Needs, Process Standardization, Transparency, and Continuous Improvement.Shortly after graduating from high school I began my career at Capital Blue Cross (CBC) as a customer service specialist. For the next twenty-two yeas I learned about the importance of quality over productivity and listening carefully to help solve issues.Realizing my need for secondary education to progress my career, I left CBC to pursue formal education through DeVry University and their Keller Graduate School of Management. Over the next four years I excelled in this pursuit and obtained a Bachelors of Science Technical Management Degree in Operations Management, graduating Cum Laude and a General Management MBA. Throughout this form education I realized my capabilities in supply chain management complemented my customer service approach to business.I believe in Paying it Forward, which is why I volunteer on the Board of Directors for a local, non-profit chapter of the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM).I continue to strengthen thought leadership skills and other skills. I recently read tests on leadership, operations, and supply chain management written by Maxwell, Buytendijk, Duke, Goldratt, Hopp, Pound, Spearman, and Walker. I recently logged 88 hours of online LinkedIn Learning encompassing 90 courses, 5 learning paths, and 195 attributable skills.
