This has included writing Requests for Proposal (RFPs), selecting grantees, monitoring program implementation, and reporting to grantors. Additionally, this role has provided countless opportunities to network with businesses, community partners, vendors, residents, and other stakeholders.My writing experience spans multiple industries, combining the instructional, marketing, business, and creative non-fiction genres to form successful grant proposals for my clients. As a curriculum and business writer, I gained skills in providing clear and concise details that eliminate confusion for my readers. My background in content marketing helps me to develop an understanding of the "ideal customer" so that I can frame my proposals in language and concepts that specifically target funding organizations. Finally, my expertise in creative writing allows me to paint a mental picture for prospective grantors that conveys the heart of the program or organization making the proposal and the people or causes they intend to serve. Merging these skills with five years of experience creating winning grant proposals, I intend to extend my past successes to future clients.
