About Doria Wormbly

👋🏾 Hello, I'm Doria (DOOR-re-ah), a Grant Writer & Global Storyteller with a passion for empowering communities through grant writing and global storytelling. My work connects diverse voices to the funding they need, creating opportunities for growth and positive impact.📝 With extensive experience in grant management and higher education, I specialize in helping historically marginalized businesses and institutions access equitable funding. My core skills include Grant Writing, Program Administration, Strategic Planning, and Research & Analysis. I’m driven by a deep commitment to social justice and making a global impact.💼 BTS and their message of self-love encouraged me to embrace my true self, which led me to a healthier life and the founding of my business. Fluent in English and studying Korean since January 2022, I strive to foster inclusion and accessibility, bringing a global perspective to my work.✈️ In November 2022, I presented “Why Don’t the Black Kids Study Abroad” at the CIEE Study Abroad Conference in Seoul, South Korea. I discussed how systemic racism in the U.S. and global antiblackness create barriers for Black students. Participants were encouraged to examine institutional racism and explore creative solutions to dismantle these barriers.🧘🏾‍♂️ Outside of work, I love spending time in the pool when it's 95 degrees, enjoying K-pop (especially BTS), and attending concerts of all kinds. Walking by the lake, trying new restaurants, breweries, and wineries, and listening to podcasts are also some of my favorite ways to recharge.🌍 I’m excited to connect with individuals and organizations that share my passion for social justice, global storytelling, and creating lasting impact through grant writing. Let’s collaborate! 📩🤗#GrantWriter #GlobalStoryteller #InternationalEducation #SocialJustice #GlobalImpact #BTSInspired #Kpop
