I documented the infrastructure and identify all the trading systems that were using this network. My proposal was approved including timelines, personnel and budget. An operations team was formed to stabilize the network, operate the middleware solution and provide rapid response when network problems occurred.* Manager of Web Security: I worked with vendors to address identity and access management needs. A team was formed to support the chosen solution which became the standard at the firm for federated authentication and web services access control. Programed fixes or new features for stock control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase order and order entry using COBOL/JCL on DEC platform. Some C code was written for sort routines, data translation, and programming a bar code reader.Programed client/server solution on Windows/Novell that was use to audit stock inventory twice a year. Programmable bar-code readers were assigned bin locations to scan and count. This data was uploaded to a database and displayed near real-time on the GUI, indicating which bays were complete, incomplete or had discrepancies. With this automated solution, the audit could be completed more accurately in a day rather than a week of all manual work. There was no longer a need to close business to perform inventory audit.
