.As a Registered Medical Technologist I first started working at URMC-SMH as Supervisor of Hematology and Coagulation. Then was instrumental in the set up and management of the phlebotomy team and urinalysis department which is all archived. As an Associate Professor, I had a faculty appointment to teach laboratory skills of phlebotomy, hematology and urinalysis to the third year medical students. Retired after twenty years of service at URMC-SMHWent on to be an Educator Reprehensive of Ames Co. a Division of Miles Laboratories for five years.There I designed and presented educational workshops on urinalysis for the sales reprehensive and was in line to become an international technical educator in urinalysis. As Visiting Professor taught Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis at Rochester Institute of Technology -National Technical Institute for the Deaf (RIT-NTID)At Monroe Community College designed a new course Laboratory Medicine for Physician Office Laboratorians (POL).

In 1960, my first position at the U of R Medical Center Strong Memorial Hospital was in Medical Research on allergies and thyroid diseases with Dr. Douglas Johnstone. As a Registered Medical Technologist in 1964, I was became Supervisor of Hematology and was instrumental in starting the Coagulation and Bone Marrow Laboratory. Promoted in 1968 as Head Laboratory Service Department and Management, instrumental in setting up the Urinalysis Laboratory and Phlebotomy Team, which is all archived in the history of Strong Memorial Hospital. With Dr. Milt Lederman public relations did recruitment and education to high school students promoting medical technology. With faculty appointment, Associate Professor in Pathology, taught the third year medical students the arts/techniques of hematology, urinalysis and phlebotomy and set up Division Labs on patient floors, medical clinics and emergency department where the med students and interns preformed laboratory procedures. Truly loved my 20 years at "Strange Memorial" as we called it! Left to double my pay in medical industry, Ames Co. a Division of Miles Laboratories as a Medical Educator and Represintive Specialist in Urinalysis and Diabetes Education.
